International Women’s Day Dinner
March 4th, Hav & Mar, 6:30pm
To celebrate International Women's Day, MAPP is hosting an exquisite 3-course dinner on March 4th at Hav & Mar, led by Executive Chef Fariyal Abdullahi and visiting Chef Lana Lagomarsini intertwining Ethiopian cuisine, culture, and wine pairings by Napa female winemakers. Experience a vibrant seafood house from Chef Marcus Samuelsson, a New York Times two-star restaurant in Chelsea on 11th Avenue.
A limited seating of distinguished guests will gather to share a meal and our voices on advancing a more inclusive leadership within the culinary and hospitality industry. Proceeds from this dinner benefit the MAPP Education/Scholarship Fund for emerging talent.

Half-day Conference | MAPP Impact & I'll Have What She's Having Join Forces in Houston
On November 6, 2023, the thriving city of Houston, Texas became the epicenter of inspiration as MAPP Impact, in partnership with I'll Have What She's Having (IHWSH), concluded the 2023 roadMAPP 10-city Live Tour. Together, they presented a half-day conference for women in food and hospitality that delved into crucial aspects of health and conquering the fear of failure, a dream killer more potent than failure itself. One of the key takeaways from the event was the profound importance of women supporting women and, specifically, women-led organizations collaborating to serve and uplift all women in the food and beverage and hospitality industry.

A Fine Line | 5th Year Anniversary Screening at The Culinary Institute of America at Copia
Napa, CA on October 20, 2023 - The culinary world gathered at the Culinary Institute of America at Copia to celebrate a momentous occasion - the 5th anniversary of the premiere of "A Fine Line," the award-winning documentary that ignited a nationwide call for gender equality in the restaurant industry. The film's creator, Joanna James, who is also the founder of MAPP Impact, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to empowering women in food and hospitality, her mother and one of the film’s stars Val James, and Celebrity Chefs Tanya Holland and Christine Ha, were at the heart of this inspiring event.

On September 27, 2023 MAPP held a powerful gathering of legislators, industry leaders, chefs and women-owned small businesses for a momentous stop on the roadMAPP 10-City LIVE Tour on Capitol Hill. Advocacy took center stage as representatives of the MAPP community came together to champion key issues empowering women and families while supporting small businesses, including: access to affordable childcare, paid family & medical leave and a dignified wage.
