We’re hiring
MAPP is seeking a Community outreach, Mentorship and Events Coordinator to help grow our community and engagement, while strategically enhancing our program delivery and events.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Increase MAPP's membership base and build greater engagement from the community by soliciting member feedback and executing tailored initiatives in collaboration with the communication teams.
Create and enhance programming opportunities scheduled throughout the year to engage the community, such as quarterly virtual town halls, virtual mentorship circles, partner events, RoadMAPP initiative, and young professionals/student membership activities.
Establish clear goals, benchmarks, and accountability measures to track progress across MAPP's initiatives.
Ensure efficient internal information organization, including data input, membership lists, and coordinating with the administrative team to streamline tracking and reporting.
Work closely with the social media coordinator and to drive membership renewal outreach through direct messaging, member spotlights, email campaigns and newsletter inclusion.
Manage updates on MAPP impact website and community platforms in terms of updating resources, events, member spotlights, and other content.
Executing email campaigns, and conducting partner/media outreach.
Coordinate events, including securing venues, identifying hosts, creating eventbrite page, conducting outreach, developing themes, managing speaker/panel logistics, marketing materials.
Ensure mentorship and advocacy remain central to MAPP's work, executing strategies to grow membership, programming, coalitions, and partnerships.
Craft effective messaging and marketing to amplify MAPP's impact and reach.
Participate in weekly team meetings, maintain ongoing communication, and work maximize efficiency.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in nonprofit industry, community engagement, or a related field
Self-motivated, proactive and goal oriented not needing constant instruction
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with digital marketing, data management, and event coordination
Passion for MAPP's mission and a commitment to creating a more equitable food system
Starting at 10 hrs weekly with the possibility to grow
Compensation is based on experience and role, but roughly $22 an hour
